Whether you're heading around the corner or across the country, we know moving can be a lot. The good news? Taking Sparky with you is totally doable — and we’re here to make it easy. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about relocating with your favorite sidekick.

Disconnect Sparky from your address via Profile > Account
Unplug all cables and pack Sparky properly
Create a new address in your existing account by pressing the house icon
Install Sparky as per usual on the new address

Absolutely! Sparky is yours, so feel free to take it with you when you move. Just make sure to unplug and pack everything safely.
What do I need to do before unplugging Sparky?
Open Chargee and navigate to the profile page to disconnect your Sparky from the address it is integrated with. After that you are free to unplug the USBc cable and adapter, disconnect the RJ12 cable from the Smart Meter and from Sparky. Make sure that if there's a rubber protection cap for the P1 port to plug that back into place.
Can Sparky get damaged during the move?
Sparky is tough, but yes—like any tech, Sparky needs a little TLC. Pack it well with padding, and avoid moisture, crushing it under some heavy books or extreme temperatures.
Do I need to update my address in the app?
No, if you want to use Sparky again, on a new address please login with your existing account and press the address button in the top right corner of the home screen (house icon). There you can add a new address to your account. Once this address has been made you can install Sparky.
What if I need help reinstalling Sparky?
No problem! Just reach out to our support team—we're happy to help.
What if I’m leaving Sparky behind for the new owner?
That’s fine too! The new owner needs to make an account in the Chargee app and install Sparky as per usual in order to use it.
