The standard installation of Home Assistant allows you to link to your smart meter via Sparky. When configured correctly, you can use Sparky's P1 data within Home Assistant.
After you have installed Sparky, the IP address is not immediately visible. This usually takes 24 hours, because a firmware update must occur.
After this update, the IP address is visible and you can use it for a connection with Home Assistant. To do this, follow the description below.
This is how you configure Home Assistant with Sparky
In the Chargee app
Open the Chargee app
Go to Profile
Under 'Home & Energy', choose the address with which you want to configure Home Assistant
Go to Sparky
Copy the IP address to your clipboard
Under 'Linked meter', there is the version number (DSMR version) of your smart meter. This could be 50, 40 or 22. Remember this version number.
In the Home Assistant app
Open the Home Assistant app
Go to Settings > Devices & Services > +Add Integration
Search for and select DSMR Smart Meter
Under 'Select connection type', choose network, then click submit
On the next screen, fill in the details below:
Host: enter the IP address of your Sparky here
Port: fill in 3602
Select DSMR version: enter the version number of your smart meter. Choose 5 (version number 50), 4 (version number 40), or 2.2 (version number 22).
You will receive your P1 data in Home Assistant by following these steps correctly.
