On the app's home page, you will find the standby consumption, grid consumption, solar consumption and gas consumption Energy Vitals. These provide immediate insight into your standby consumption and a colour indication of how you score compared to other Chargee users.
βπ‘ At a glance
Let's zoom in on your Energy Vital tile for standby usage. It may sound technical, but it's actually super handy and easy to understand!
β
Standby consumption is electricity that you use without noticing. Think of devices that secretly stay on, even when you think they are βoffββsuch as your modem, TV on standby, or that charger that is always plugged in.
β
π What do you see on the tile?
At the top left, you can see your average standby consumption over the past 7 days. We calculate this figure by looking at the lowest hourly values of your consumption per day and taking the average. This gives you a good idea of what your home really consumes when you are using (almost) nothing.
Next to that, you will see a coloured bar with an icon that indicates how you score compared to other users like you. You will be placed in a specific group based on your home situation. For example, if you have solar panels, a heat pump, an electric car or a charging station, you will be in the same category as users who also have these things.
β
π What does the colour of your score mean?
π₯ Red = high standby consumption β you are in the bottom 10%. Time to unplug some appliances π
π¨ Yellow = average standby consumption β Well done! You are between 10% and 85%.
π© Green = low standby consumption β Excellent! You are more energy efficient than 85% of others.
In other words, you can see at a glance whether your home is an energy guzzler or an energy-conscious sleeper.
